DESCRIPTION & BENEFITS

WELLCLEAN is a powdered acidic cleaner formulated for the removal of calcium and magnesium hardness scales, rust and corrosion products in water wells.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

  • Can be used safely on a wide range of metals including copper, stainless steel and carbon steel.
  • Is based on a mild organic acid, which is relatively safe to use.
  • Is inhibited to protect metal surfaces on screens, casings and pumps.
  • Will remove hardness scales or corrosion products at ambient temperatures in a few hours.
  • Contains a wetting agent to aid penetration and increase efficiency of acid action on deposits.

 

Where to Use
Designed for the removal of calcium and magnesium hardness scales, rust and corrosion products in water wells.

Directions
WELL CLEAN should be used at the following dosage rates:
Well Diameter (mm) 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300

(kg/m of screen) 1.2, 3.0, 6.0, 11.0, 12.0, 13.0, 18.0

• The above dosage rates may have to be increased for heavily encrusted or plugged wells.
• Disconnect well from reticulation and pour required amount of WELL CLEAN into the casing. Surge downhole solution and allow to stand in the casing/well for several hours, depending on the degree of scaling In extreme cases it may be necessary to leave solution overnight.

Warning
This product may generate hydrogen. Do not expose to naked flame. WELL CLEAN solutions are acidic and should be handled with care. Avoid skin and eye contact. If poisoning occurs contact Doctor or poisons information centre. If swallowed do not induce vomiting – give a glass of water. Seek medical attention. If skin contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly. For eyes irrigate with water for 15 minutes. Seek medical attention.

First Aid
If poisoning occurs contact a doctor of poisons information centre PH 13 11 26. If swallowed do not induce vomiting and, give a glass of water and seek medical advice. For eye contact, irrigate with water for 15 minutes and if irritation persists seek medical advice
